Executing the installer in unattended mode

We are now ready to run the Siebel installer in unattended mode. We must ensure that the response files for both the installer (.ini) and the configuration wizard (.xml) are stored in the correct folders.

We can then launch the installer using the following shell command:

setup -args SS_SETUP_INI=d:\ses_install.ini –is:javaconsole –console

The command invokes the setup executable in console mode and specifies the d:\ses_install.ini file as the input file. Console mode is recommended for unattended install because of easier monitoring. The following screenshot shows the command shell window that displays the progress of the Siebel Enterprise Server installer during an unattended Siebel Server installation.
